Shipping Policy

Empire Book Store ("we" and "us") is the operator of (https://empirebookstore.org) ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.


1. General

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, if an item is out of stock, we will dispatch the in-stock items immediately and send the remaining items once they return to stock.

PS: No additional cost will be collected


2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are priced at a Flat rate. Meaning, you may order as much books you want and shipping fee will not change.

 

Within Cebu City, the shipping fee is only 40 pesos. 

Within Cebu Province, the shipping fee is just 80 pesos

Outside Cebu, the shipping fee is only 120 pesos or 165 pesos. 

 

This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer.


3. Returns

3.1 Return Due To Change Of Mind

Empire Book Store will happily accept returns due to change of mind as long as a request to return is received by us within 3 days of receipt of item and are returned to us in original packaging, unused and in resellable condition.

Return shipping will be paid at the customers expense 

 

Once returns are received and accepted, refunds will be processed to store credit for a future purchase. We will notify you once this has been completed through email.

 

(Empire Book Store) will refund the value of the goods returned but will NOT refund the value of any shipping paid.


 

4. Delivery Terms

4.1 Transit Within Cebu City & Cebu Province

In general, shipments within Cebu are in transit for 10-14 days


4.2 Transit time Outside Cebu

Generally, orders shipped outside Cebu are in transit for 10 - 17 or 10-25 days depending on your shipping option.


4.3 When Will Orders Be Dispatched

Orders placed before 7 PM will be dispatched the same day, otherwise, within the next day, if the order was placed on a Sunday or a Holiday. 

We operate on Monday - Sunday during 8am to 6pm, except on national holidays at which time we will be closed but the website will stay open and available to accept orders.


4.4 Change Of Delivery Address

For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched. 

However, don't worry, if the order has already been dispatched and you would wish for a different delivery address, we will review your request and negotiate with the courier handling your order to make the last minute changes in the location of delivery.

 

4.5 Items Out Of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will dispatch the in-stock items immediately and send the remaining items once they return to stock.


4.6 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.


5. Tracking Notifications

For deliveries within Cebu City: It will be mostly fulfilled by our shipping fleet so a tracking number will NOT be given. We will instead inform you before the day of the delivery and on the day of the delivery.

In some cases, when your order is not being handled by our shipping fleet due to volume. It will be outsourced to our shipping partners, and you will be given a tracking number once the book is released by Customs. 

 

For deliveries outside Cebu City: You will be given a tracking number for the last delivery once the book is cleared by Customs


6. Parcels Damaged In Transit

If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, kindly get in touch with our customer service at customercare@empirebookstore.org


 

7. Cancellations

If you change your mind before you have received your order, kindly read the following:

For Cash on Delivery Payment Methods: We would love to reverse the shipping process to make you happy. However, since our logistic partners are covering for the shipping and customs fee upfront, we do not allow cancellation of orders because doing so will hurt their bottom line. 

 

For GCash, Bank Transfer, Paypal Payment Methods: We allow cancellations on this method because it makes us very happy when you are satisfied.

>>>Once you request for a cancellation, we will wire the money back to you immediately. However, we will deduct the shipping fee and the return shipping fee from the total payment made. Don't worry, we will cover for the customs fee ourselves. 


 

8.1 Process for parcel damaged in-transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has completed their investigation into the claim.


8.2 Process for parcel lost in-transit

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.
